Co-Founded in July 2014 by four dancers: Kenya Joy Gibson, Michelle Isaac, Anastacia Julian, and Freyani Patrice. The name "Ntrinsik" is taken from the word "Intrinsic" meaning "movement that comes from within." Ntrinsik has performed in various theaters such as Symphony Space, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts, Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance and several others.
Ntrinsik believes in and practices the diversity of dance, blending various dance styles such as Afro-Modern, Contemporary Ballet, and Jazz to create and produce original works. Their zeal for the performing arts is showcased through their performance, choreography, instruction, and service to the community. Despite their keen differences as dancers, they are united and defined as a company through the illuminating, forever burning passion for dance that lies within each of them.
To connect people from all ages and walks of life through passion based movement that explores and highlights the complexities of humanity, life experience, spirituality, and historical events/time periods.
To inspire the upcoming generation of artists within the performing arts community through instruction, mentorship, and scholarship.
To give back to the community through time and service.
